Finish Junior Year? Check!

Yesterday I took my last two finals to conclude my Junior year at Howard University. Its surreal to imagine that in one year's time, I will be a graduate and moving on to the real world. I hope this summer is a bit of a preview of what's to come.

Last night I went with my roommate to the container store because I have always wanted to go and I now face the daunting task of packing up my life... a life that I haven't left since my Freshman year when I moved onto campus... and storing it away. Needless to say I piled up a ton of crap over the years and now its a matter of going through it all and deciding what to donate, what to store and what to take with me this summer. I felt like Carrie from Sex and the City last night when going through all my handbags.

Next on the list to tackle are my clothes. This is going to be the hardest because I have this pain that comes whenever I throw away something that I spent money on. If it was a gift I have less of a problem haha. But at least I know my trash will be keeping someone else warm and going to a good cause.

I've done the research for you and I'll tell you now before you run around looking for the best deal, go to Target (if your in the DC area) or Wal-Mart for the best prices on the big plastic storage bins. I found some pink bins for $9 each at Target last night and a really big tub on wheels for $22. The tears will start coming any day now. Let me get back to my mess...

XOXO
Your raising senior friend,
Kelsey
